Whitemoss Athletics Club won a clutch of medals at the recent National Indoor Athletics championships at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. The medal haul was led by Kyle McAulay, 13, who won Gold in both Long Jump and High Jump the U15 boys age group. Kyle jumped an impressive 5m 81cm in the Long Jump and 1m 70cm in the High Jump which has put Kyle at the top of the Scottish rankings for both events and in the top 10 in the UK. Kyle trains with the Whitemoss Combined Events group with his coach Alan Forbes, Alan commented "It was a great achievement by Kyle who pulled out winning jumps when it really mattered. The Gold medals are well deserved after Kyle's hard work during the winter." Kyle is now focused on the National Indoor Pentathlon competitions in March, where he will compete in both Glasgow and Sheffield
.
There were other medal winning performances the same weekend from Kyle's training partners at Whitemoss. Christie McSkimming and Anna Forbes won silver and bronze, respectively, in the U20 women high jump. Lucy Wroe continued her success winning a bronze medal in the U17 women shot put which is a great result as Lucy was entered as a first year U17 athlete and Saskia Wade won Bronze in the U13 girls high jump.

Holly McArthur, coached by Iain McEwan at Whitemoss, won gold in the U20 women Long Jump to continue a very successful season. Holly previously won the UK indoor pentathlon in Sheffield in January and represented Great Britain in Prague later that month.
